The small print.

By creating an account, an event, or uploading a photo, you agree to these terms and the linked Privacy notice. GroupCapture is operated by GroupCapture Ltd.

As a host you set up event pages and invite guests. You confirm that you have permission to invite the people you do, and that you’ll respect their privacy when curating the gallery.

You’re responsible for what your event page says, the imagery you upload as the cover, and the photos you choose to keep visible.

Guests don’t need to sign up to view a page or upload. By uploading, you confirm you have the right to share the photo, and you give the host permission to display and download it as part of the event album.

You can ask the host or us to remove a photo you uploaded at any time.

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant GroupCapture a limited licence to store, transcode, deliver, and generate album archives of that content so the service can do its job. That licence ends when the content is deleted.

We don’t train machine-learning models on your photos, and we don’t hand them to anyone outside the processors listed in the Privacy notice.

No content that’s illegal in the jurisdiction where the host operates. No sexual content involving minors. No targeted harassment, doxxing, or non-consensual intimate imagery. No malware, no spam, no automated scraping.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach this section, usually after a note explaining why.

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Prices, plan limits, and retention windows are shown on the pricing section of the landing page and confirmed at checkout. We don’t auto-renew event plans without telling you.

Refunds are handled case by case. If something goes wrong on our side, write to us and we’ll make it right.

We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is rare and announced in advance. Outages are posted on the contact page until we have a dedicated status site.

You can close your account from the dashboard at any time, which deletes your events and uploads within thirty days. We may close an account that breaches these terms; we’ll usually warn you first and give you time to export your photos.

GroupCapture is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for things that can’t be limited under your local consumer law.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes go to the courts of New Zealand, without preventing you from bringing a claim in the courts of your own country if your consumer laws require it.
